McKenna Weaver

One of the most decorated athletes in Sandburg history, McKenna Weaver was named the Chargers' head coach in 2020, taking over for her former coach, Mike Bailey. Weaver first joined the Sandburg coaching staff as an assistant in the 2018-19 season. A 2016 Sandburg graduate, Weaver played volleyball and basketball for two seasons and softball for one year with the Chargers. She earned All-Arrowhead Conference honors every season in each sport, and she was a two-time All-Region IV pick in volleyball and women’s basketball. Weaver went on to play volleyball and basketball at Culver-Stockton College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. A Limestone High School graduate, Weaver is currently working toward her master’s at Western Illinois.
