Federal Work Study Program for Sandburg Students (2012-2013 School Year)
Work study eligibility is determined by the Financial Aid office. Contact the Financial Aid office for a Work Study application. To be considered for a work study job, you must be a Sandburg student registered for the current semeseter's classes and have a completed work study application on file in the Career Resources office. Work Study applications for 2012-2013 will be kept on file through June 30, 2013. Students eligible for the 2012-2013 Work Study program will be considered for positions beginning July 1, 2012. All work study positions are part-time, 20 hours per week maximum. Pay is $8.25/hour. Weekend Security Officer - Galesburg, IL (5/6/13)
Physical Plant Level 1-starting salary range $19,690-$20,450

 

Carl Sandburg College is accepting applications for a full-time Weekend Security Officer position.  High school diploma or GED required, two years of security experience preferred.  Working knowledge of computer systems and software, to include word processing and spreadsheets also preferred.  Valid driver’s license required.  Responsibilities include but not limited to, monitoring traffic and parking lots, issuing tickets for violations, patrolling campus buildings, preparing reports, responding to emergency calls and monitoring environmental conditions. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing arduous work in various environmental conditions.  This position requires a background check as a pre-employment qualifier.  Starting salary range is $19,690-$20,450 and is commensurate with experience and education.
