If grant  financial aid exceeds the cost of tuition and fees, the excess will be available at the Bookstore.   Book charges begin approximately four weeks before the semester begins.  You need to allow 24 hours after you are awarded and 24 hours after any changes of enrollment for your financial aid to be updated.  Students may choose book rental or e-books as a means to lower your costs.


Students who would like to charge books to financial aid and have the books shipped to them should complete this form.


ISBN Information
ISBN information is provided for all required books on under course selection and through the Carl Sandburg Bookstore website.


Jump Start Disbursement
Carl Sandburg College makes a portion of the student’s grant aid available prior to the semester to help with the purchase of books, transportation the first few weeks of school and other start-up costs.  Requests for early disbursement can be made by completing the  Jump Start Disbursement Request.


Before completing the form, you may wish to sign up for Direct Deposit to have your financial aid funds deposited into your bank account. You can do this through the MySandburg link, MyAccount, and choose Sign up for Direct Deposit of my Refund.

The Jump Start disbursement is limited to $300 or 50% of grant funds remaining after tuition and fees are paid. The funds will be deducted from your financial aid credit balance for the term. If your aid changes, you are responsible to repay the funds.
