Sandburg Vice President Sudhakar Earns Doctorate

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College Vice President of Administrative Services and CIO Samuel Sudhakar successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on Jan. 21 and earned his doctorate in business administration from Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

 

The topic of Sudhakar’s dissertation was “Examining the Potential of Information Technologies to Improve Cost Control in Community Colleges.” Northcentral University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).

 

Under Sudhakar’s leadership, Sandburg in October was named No. 1 in the nation for digital technology among community colleges its size and has placed in the top 10 in its category each of the past six years. The College also has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 Bellwether Award, which is given annually to community colleges with outstanding innovative programs or practices.
