GALESBURG—The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team ran its winning streak to four games with a 1-0 victory over Kennedy-King College on Saturday at Kleine Equipment Field.

Freshman Sebastian Ramirez scored the match’s lone goal off an assist from sophomore Mario Romero in the 80th minute. Goalkeeper Collin Jeffcoat picked up his third straight shutout in net for Sandburg (4-1, 3-0).

"We outplayed them and we just gutted it out," Chargers coach Allen Eskridge said. "They're finding ways to win even when things aren't going their way."

The Chargers, who have outscored opponents 9-1 during their winning streak, host Truman College at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Kleine Equipment Field.
