Sandburg Baseball Held to 1 Hit in Loss to Southeastern Iowa

GALESBURG—Four Southeastern (Iowa) pitchers held the Carl Sandburg College baseball team to one hit as the Blackhawks beat the Chargers 15-4 on Wednesday at the William “Bill” Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.
 

Sophomore Brad Moody (Chatsworth, Ill./Prairie Central) delivered the lone hit for Sandburg (4-6) with a run-scoring single up the middle with nobody out in the seventh inning.
 

Freshman Richie Boatman (Troy, Ill./Triad) took the loss for the Chargers after allowing 11 runs (eight earned) on eight hits in four innings. He struck out six and walked two.
 

Sandburg returns to action with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Thursday against North Arkansas at the Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.
