GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College art program coordinator and instructor Lisa Walker Mohr will host a gallery talk at 1 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Building D lobby on the Main Campus in Galesburg to discuss the symbols and themes of her works that are on display in the lobby through Jan. 28.

The gallery includes 22 paintings that Mohr created between 2010 and the summer of 2012. Mohr’s symbolism includes geometric shapes and animal images. They include elements such as a set of three stripes and a cross inside of a circle, which stands for north.

“The symbols in my work are my own or those I made my own, and they repeat throughout,” Mohr said.

Refreshments will be served at the gallery talk. For more information, contact Mohr at 309.341.5303 or lmohr@sandburg.edu
