ROWVA’s Swanson, Galva’s Strom Sign With Sandburg Hoops

GALESBURG—ROWVA High School’s Haylee Swanson and Galva High School’s Alex Strom have signed to play next season for the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team.
 

Swanson, a 5-foot-6 guard, earned second-team all-Lincoln Trail Conference honors for the Tigers during her senior season as she helped lead ROWVA to a 15-13 overall record.
 

Strom, a 5-10 forward who also will play for the Chargers’ volleyball team, finished with more than 1,000 career points for the Wildcats. She averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks this past season, helping her earn first-team all-LTC honors. Strom also earned spots on the Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus and Galesburg Register-Mail all-area teams and was named to the Erie Warkins Classic all-tournament team.
