LINCOLN—Sophomore middle hitter Caitlin McVay (Rockridge) and sophomore outside hitter Erika Hibberd (Pekin) each had 11 kills as the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team defeated Lincoln 25-21, 26-24, 15-25, 25-20 in a nonconference match Tuesday night.

The victory was the sixth in the last seven matches for the Chargers (15-11), who also got nine kills and a team-best 28 assists from sophomore setter Lexa Mahr (Macomb) and a team-leading 28 digs from freshman libero Justine Bodenhamer (Avon).
