Chargers’ Remick Earns Second-Team All-Region IV Honors

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball player Marysa Remick (ROWVA) has been named to the all-Region IV Division II District L second team for her play this season.

Remick, a 5-foot-10 freshman forward, averaged team highs of 10.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Chargers this season. She also tied for second on the team in steals (24) and blocks (13). She recorded two double-doubles and reached double figures in scoring in 16 of Sandburg’s 28 contests. Remick posted a season-best 21 points in a Nov. 13 victory over Lincoln.

Second team — Valerierose Agnello (Kishwaukee), Liz Groter (Black Hawk East), Hillary Johnson (McHenry), Marsya Remick (Carl Sandburg), Sydonia Daniels (Illinois Valley).
