Payment, Refunds & Cancellations Policies


Payment in full is due at time of registration for Corporate & Leisure College classes.

A Deferred Payment Plan” is available for qualifying classes. Students enrolled in a “Deferred Payment Plan” who fail to make payments, will not be permitted to take the class. Also, students will not be dropped from the class and payments will still be their responsibility. If you need to drop any Corporate & Leisure College class, we request that you notify the Corporate & Leisure College office (309.345.3501) at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the class start date. Please give as much advance notice as possible.


Per Carl Sandburg College policy for Corporate & Leisure College, classes dropped the day before a class start date can obtain a one hundred (100) percent refund. Dropping classes the day of class or thereafter will result in a zero (0) percent refund. For the Driver Improvement Program, individuals may reschedule if we are notified at least 24 hours prior to the class. It is the responsibility of the court supervised individual to be aware of court dates and when the class should be completed by. 


Please note that special cancellation dates may apply for Corporate & Leisure College day trips or other specific course offerings, as identified in the class schedule.  For trips and Wine Club only, you may call to register a substitute after the cancellation date. A refund will not be provided.



Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If the class is cancelled, you will be notified and will receive a full refund from the business office. Please register in advance to help us avoid cancelling classes unnecessarily. Classes may be cancelled due to severe weather or other emergency situations. Announcements will be made on local radio and TV stations, and the Carl Sandburg College website
