Men's Soccer Coach

The 2014 season will be Ariel Pesce’s first as the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer coach.

Pesce, who also serves as the College’s health and fitness supervisor, has several years of experience as a player and coach. He came to Sandburg from the Rush Wisconsin soccer program in Middleton, Wis., for which he served as a coach and group trainer.

Pesce was an associate head coach from 2008-2011 for the men’s and women’s programs at Middle Georgia State College in Cochran, Ga. During his time there, the Knights’ women’s team won the 2009 NJCAA Division I Region XVII title.

Pesce, who played professionally in Argentina from 1995-1999, spent four seasons as an associate head coach for the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. Both Golden Eagles teams won the Golden Valley Conference title in 2006 and 2007.

Pesce inherits a Sandburg team that is coming off its best season in program history. The Chargers finished with a 15-5-0 overall record in 2013 and won their first Region IV Champions Division title with a 6-1-0 mark. Sandburg also won its first-ever postseason contest and advanced to the semifinals of the Region IV tournament.
