Message from the President:

Dear Alumni and Community Friends,

On behalf of the Carl Sandburg College Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and students, I would like to thank you for your outpouring of support during the recent flooding on campus.   

Our facilities have sustained significant water damage in the lower C, D, and E buildings.  We anticipate cleanup costs to be approximately $500,000.  The College has already begun cleanup efforts and we plan to be open for business June 3 and ready for summer classes to begin June 10. 

Several Sandburg alumni and community friends have expressed an interest in making a financial contribution to the cleanup efforts.  I am extremely grateful for this thoughtful support!  Anyone wishing to make a gift can please send their contribution to the Carl Sandburg College Foundation.  If you have specific questions about your gift, please contact Gena Alcorn, Foundation Director.  Once again, thank you for your kindness and support of Carl Sandburg College.

Carl Sandburg College Foundation

The Carl Sandburg College Foundation is an Illinois non-profit corporation that was founded in 1971 to oversee funds donated by concerned citizens who wished to promote the growth of Carl Sandburg College. Contributions to the Foundation provide for scholarships and financial support that enable Carl Sandburg College to offer more programs and enhance what is already an outstanding institution of higher education.
