ELGIN—The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team was unable to extend its winning streak to three games following a 63-49 loss on Saturday in a nonconference game at Elgin.
The Chargers (7-12), coming off Thursday’s upset victory over No. 17 Illinois Valley, trailed 39-26 at halftime. Freshman forward Marysa Remick (ROWVA) scored 13 to lead Sandburg. Elgin’s Carly Saraceno had a game-high 20 points.
