GALESBURG—Cody Reiber shot a 1-under-par 70 to take medalist honors and lead the Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team to the title in the Charger Classic on Saturday at Lake Bracken Country Club.

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College’s student enrollment is up over 3 percent for the 2012 fall semester from a year ago, making it one of the few community colleges in the state to show an enrollment increase. Reports of first day enrollment show Sandburg was one of only two community colleges in the state with an increase, and by the 10th day of classes Sandburg was one of just three in the state to enjoy an increase in student enrollment.

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College has released the names of students who qualified for the dean’s list and honors list for the 2012 summer session.

 

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). To qualify for the honors list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49.

LASALLE—The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team finished 11th in the 22-team Illinois Valley Classic on Friday and Saturday at Deer Park Country Club in Oglesby and Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Course in LaSalle.

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa—The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team picked up a pair of wins Friday and Saturday at the Southeastern Invite.
