GALESBURG—The Carl Sandburg College softball team’s Arrowhead Conference doubleheader scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Kishwaukee has been postponed because of unplayable conditions. The games will be made up at 3 p.m. April 15.

The Chargers’ next scheduled game is a home doubleheader at 3 p.m. Thursday against Highland at the William “Bill” Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—After opening its season Saturday with a sweep of Westmoreland County (Pa.), the Carl Sandburg College baseball was shut out in a pair of contests Sunday.

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College hired three employees following approval by the Board of Trustees at its regular monthly meeting held in February. Stacey Rucker was hired as resource development specialist, and Nicky Smith was hired as student information assistant. GALESBURG—Stark County High School senior Danielle Kenney has signed to play next season for the Carl Sandburg College women’s golf and softball teams.

An outfielder for the Rebels’ softball team, Kenney earned first-team all-Lincoln Trail Conference honors as a junior. The 5-foot-2 Kenney qualified last fall for the girls golf Class 1A state tournament, tying for 54th at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur.
