GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College will celebrate National Adult Education Week with an open house from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Adult Learning Center at Sandburg Mall, 1150 W. Carl Sandburg Dr., in Galesburg.

LASALLE—The Carl Sandburg College men's golf team finished 10th in the 20-team Illinois Valley Classic on Friday and Saturday. GALESBURG—Sophomore Jesse Bathelt netted a hat trick, but the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team was unable to preserve a three-goal halftime lead in a 5-4 loss to Lake County on Friday at Kleine Equipment Field.

GALESBURG—The Carl Sandburg College Foundation has awarded the Galesburg Police Benevolent & Protective Association Unit 19/Bill Herrin Memorial Scholarship to Sandburg student Mariah Armstrong of Galesburg.

 

Armstrong was awarded a $500 scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student in Sandburg’s criminal justice program who has a minimum 2.5 grade point average.

GALESBURG—The Alpha Lodge/Elvin C. Butler Scholarship given through the Carl Sandburg College Foundation has been awarded to Sandburg students Paige Martin of Farmington and Kattie Haywood of Galesburg.
