GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College women’s golf team has been awarded a $2,000 mini-grant from the Illinois Women’s Golf Association’s Victory Fund.

 

The grant will assist the Chargers in covering the cost of meets, equipment and instruction for the 2016-2017 season. Out of 20 applicants, Sandburg was one of 10 schools to receive a mini-grant. CARTHAGE — Marlie Burt is 75 miles from the classmates she’s working with on a group project, but she doesn’t have to move at all to be next to them when they meet.
 

Burt, who lives in LaHarpe and attends classes at Carl Sandburg College’s Branch Campus in Carthage, collaborates with her classmates by using a telepresence robot located on the Main Campus in Galesburg, where the others in her police administration and management course meet.

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College made a difference in Andrea Ferretti Vitale’s life. Now she wants to challenge others in her community to do the same for Sandburg students.
