GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College is seeking entries for the 28th annual Carl Sandburg College Poetry Competition. Entries are due March 15. The contest is open to the public, and poems will be judged in three categories: elementary (grades 1-5), intermediate (grades 6-12) and adult.

GALESBURG — The family of Carl Sandburg College alumna Louise Swanson has established a nursing scholarship in her honor through the Sandburg Foundation. The Louise Swanson Nursing Scholarship is now open for application and will be awarded annually.

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College Foundation Board member Naomi Law has established a $10,000 endowment to support scholarships for students in Sandburg outreach groups Men of Distinction (MOD)/Women of Character (WOC).
