Tony Bentley is the Director of the Carl Sandburg College Upward Bound program. Tony started out with the program in January of 2000 as the program Curriculum Coordinator/Advisor, becoming the full-time permanent Director in July of 2007.
Tony provides direct support to program implementation and direct professional services to Upward Bound Scholars. Services include those related to increasing the likelihood of Scholars achieving success and remaining in high school, and then having UB Scholars enroll in an institution of higher education upon graduation.

Terry Mitchell is the program counselor. Terry joined the CSC UB program in October of 2006 as part-time staff, becoming the program's full-time counselor in July of 2007.
Terry's purpose is to advise students to achieve academic success, remain in high school, and enroll in an institution of higher education upon graduation. He also instructs during the summer program.

Student Success Center
Nilsa Maldonado is the CSC UB Program Administrative Assistant. Nilsa joined UB in the 2002 program year.
The purpose of the UB Administrative Assistant is to provide support to the program staff and assist with the daily operations of the program. The duties involved with the position include publishing the monthly newsletter and annual yearbook, contacting program participants and families when needed, sending out correspondence, accounting and distribution of monthly stipends, and assisting with the record keeping, filing, and program reports. There are a number of other responsibilities that the Administrative Assistant undertakes that keep this program up and running.
Study Lab Coordinator/Tutor

Student Success Center
Ms. Randi Cecil is the Sandburg Upward Bound Study Lab Tutor for the 2012-13 academic year. Her duties include assisting students when requested with school work, test prep, etc. She will also supervise the online tutoring component of the program. In addition to Randi's Upward Bound duties, she is currently also employed by the Galesburg Public library. Randi will be entering her sophomore year at Knox College, where she participates in the Knox TRIO SSS program and Gale Scholars as well.
