Personal & Home Care Aide Certificate
The Personal & Home Care Aide Certificate program is designed to prepare individuals to be a Personal and Home Care Aide providing care for patients in their home environment. The student will learn to provide basic medical checks such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature; bathing, dressing and grooming of the patient; light housekeeping, and preparing meals as well as provide companionship and support.
Home Health Aide Certificate
The Home Health Aide Certificate program is designed to prepare individuals to be home health aides providing care for the elderly, convalescents or persons with disabilities at the patient’s home. The student will learn to provide routine individualized healthcare such as change bandages and dressing wounds; perform basic medical checks such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature; bathing, dressing and grooming of the patient; administration of medications; plan, purchase, prepare or serve meals to the patient or other family members according to a prescribed diet.

- Complete an application for admission to the College and, if desired, apply for financial aid.
- Send an official high school transcript or GED score report to the Admissions and Records Office.
- Complete the placement exam, COMPASS.
- Meet with an advisor/counselor to select classes and complete the registration process.
