High School Equivalency Certificate Program 


ASE

 

ASE or Adult Secondary Education (formerly GED)  classes are for those students 16 years of age or older, who are not enrolled in high school and  have not earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Students prepare for the High School Equivalency Certificate. Past students who have  taken ASE classes and earned the High School Equivalency Certificate have successfully transitioned into post-secondary education or career pathways.

 

ABE

 

ABE or Adult Basic Education (formerly Pre-GED) classes are for those students 16 years of age or older, who are not enrolled in high school and have not earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Classes provide instruction to students in basic reading, math, and writing as well as skills needed in everyday life. Students who need basic literacy skills enroll in Adult Basic Education classes. Students progress at an individual pace. Past students who have successfully taken the ABE classes have transitioned into ASE classes.
