The director is responsible for building awareness of the College through internal and external advertising and Marketing and Public Relations campaigns and overseeing all marketing functions of the College. In this capacity, the department assists with the college's recruitment and retention efforts. Advertising and marketing campaigns consist of billboards; direct mail; and print, radio, television and online ads.
The Carl Sandburg College Office of Marketing and Public Relations provides media relations, photography and print and production services for the College. The office maintains the College's graphic identity standard and style guide and also assists with high-profile campus events.
