Can goods

Paying for college can be difficult and at times, students find themselves short on cash. Everyone goes through tough times financially when there just isn't enough money to pay for necessities.

We are here to help during those rough times. Sandburg students can complete the following application to request free meal cards to use at either of our cafeterias on the Galesburg campus. You can request meal cards on a temporary basis just to get you through until your next paycheck or for issues that may be ongoing.

Carl Sandburg College and River Bend Foodbank of Davenport IA have partnered to create an official food pantry on campus for Sandburg students and employees! The Resource Room is located in Room B129 and there is no cost to use the pantry. Students and employees can stop by anytime they are faced with a food insecurity, whether it be just a grab and go item for the day or several items to take home for meals.

Pantry Hours:

Room B129
Monday - Thursday, 11 AM - 1 PM
Fridays, 9 AM -11 AM
Appointments available upon request

Every third Wednesday of the month, Sandburg receives our food delivery from River Bend which consists of fresh produce, freezer and refrigerator items, and a wide variety of shelf items. To allow better access to the fresh food items, the Resource Room offers special hours of 11 AM -3 PM on those third Wednesday delivery days.
