Driver Improvement Program

The Circuit Court of Knox County and Carl Sandburg College are proud to offer a Driver Improvement Program, which provides an alternative to having the violation on your driving record. This program is an innovative approach to traffic safety, taught by qualified, personable instructors and assumes you are already a good driver. It is a 4 hour 30 minute workshop, which emphasizes driving under stress, attitudes and emotions affecting driving, and the best defensive driving techniques. The goal of the program is to provide an interesting and informative class and to provide skills to make driving a safe and enjoyable experience. Individuals who acquire a driving violation, in a county other than Knox, may be eligible to complete the Driver Improvement Program. Please phone Sandburg's Corporate & Leisure College at 309.345.3501 for details.

Note:  This class is not intended for those with no driving citation.
