GALESBURG—The Galesburg Business & Technology Center (BTC) is offering up to five $1,000 scholarships for full-time college students who have demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship.
Scholarships are available to any graduating high school senior or first-, second- or third-year college student who is a permanent resident of Knox County or Warren County. Students must have at least a 2.0 grade point average and may attend any accredited two- or four-year educational institution.
The primary selection criteria will be based upon the applicant’s entrepreneurship endeavors. There are no specific limitations on the type of small business activity that qualifies the student for this scholarship. Students must complete the application form and submit appropriate academic and business documentation as requested, including a short essay about their entrepreneurship efforts and any other proof of their small business activity.
The deadline for submission is April 30. Applications can be found at www.sandburg.edu under the BTC page in Community Services or by contacting Gena Alcorn, Carl Sandburg College Foundation director, at 309.341.5327 or email@example.com.
