The Carl Sandburg College Main Campus is located in Galesburg, Illinois, with a faculty of 57 full-time and 180 part-time instructors serving 3,000 students at three permanent locations. The Branch Campus is located in Carthage, Illinois, and The Extension Center is located in Bushnell, Illinois.

Administration Positions

Director of Clinical Services

Director Level I-starting salary range is $44,710-$52,150

Carl Sandburg College is seeking a Director of Clinical Services in the Career, Technical and Health Education Department. Starting salary range is $44,710 – $52,150 and is commensurate with education and experience. Duties for this new position include  supervision, selection and orientation of faculty;  participation in program admission process; curriculum development, coordination of the activities related to students in clinical sites, i.e. hospitals and off-campus clinics, according to the guidelines established by the respective programmatic accrediting and/or certification agencies, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, the Illinois Department of Public Health and Carl Sandburg College policy; communication with clinical site personnel;  participation in the budget process; planning and conducting program advisory committee meetings;  and responsibility for affiliation agreements. Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, with a minimum of four years directly related experience required.  Experience working in a healthcare facility is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Valid driver’s license required. Associate Dean of Nursing/Nursing Faculty

Staff Positions

Permanent Part-Time Custodian- Extension Center

Physical Plant Level I-starting salary range is $9.47-$9.83/hour

Carl Sandburg College is accepting applications for a permanent part-time hourly custodian for the Bushnell Extension Center.   The rate to start will be $9.47-$9.83 an hour commensurate with education and experience. The hours for this position are at least 20 hours up to 29 hours per week as needed and may require a flexible schedule. The position requires the ability to perform general custodial work and the ability and knowledge for the proper use of cleaning equipment as well as cleaning and sanitation chemicals.  Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform arduous work is required.  High school diploma or GED required as well as a valid driver's license. Coordinator-Nursing Skills Lab

Mid-Management Level IV-starting salary range is $30,820-$33,910

Carl Sandburg College is seeking a Coordinator for the Nursing Skills Lab. This is a twelve month position for a Registered Nurse. Masters degree in Nursing with three years of experience in a related health care field of medical/surgical nursing and geriatrics is required. Duties for this position includes working in partnership with Nursing Program Instructors responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating education interventions and instruction of Practical and Associate Degree (RN) students in the nursing skills lab. Must have knowledge and understanding of multiple computer software applications related to simulation and strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to set up teaching materials for multiple skill levels of the RN and PN lab experiences. Current unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Illinois and current healthcare Provider CPR certification is required. This position reports to the Nursing Program Administrator and also consults with nursing instructors. Starting salary range is: $30,820-$33,910 and is commensurate with education and experience.
