Bruce Tracy graduated in 1972 from Galesburg High School, where he was a member of the cross country and track programs. Tracy then attended Carl Sandburg College and graduated in 1975. While a student at Sandburg, he participated on the Chargers' cross country team and was runner-up in the 1973 Arrowhead Conference meet. A year later he won the Arrowhead Conference title. Coach Tracy lives in Rio with his wife, Kay, and his sons, Austin and Collin. His oldest son, Eric, lives near Raleigh, N.C., with his wife, Beth. Tracy's daughter, Allison Shepard, lives in Glasgow, Ky., with her husband, Daniel. Tracy has three grandsons.
Jeremy Randolph is in his first season as an assistant for the Chargers' men's and women's cross country teams. A 2006 Galesburg High School graduate, Randolph ran for Sandburg's men's cross country teams during the 2006 and 2007 seasons before graduating with an associate degree in 2008. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 2010 with a bachelor's in psychology and a minor in sociology, and he earned a Master of Arts from WIU in 2012.
