GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College’s Chi Kappa chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 21 in the Student Center on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

 

All proceeds will go to Sandburg’s PTK chapter to fund student travel to educational conferences in San Antonio, Texas, and Albuquerque, N.M. Any items remaining from the sale will be donated to the Galesburg Rescue Mission.

CARTHAGE — The Great River Players (GRP) of Keokuk, Iowa, in partnership with Carl Sandburg College and Carthage Community Development, will present the musical “Godspell” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 and 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Sandburg Auditorium in Carthage.

GALESBURG—The Carl Sandburg College Literacy Coalition is seeking volunteers for tutoring. Training sessions will take place from 1-5 p.m. Jan. 18, Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 in Room 103 of George Davis Hall on the campus of Knox College.

GALESBURG—Carl Sandburg College has released the names of students who qualified for the dean’s list and honors list for the 2014 fall semester.
 

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). To qualify for the honors list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49.
