PORT BYRON—The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team posted the top two individual scores at the Duane Chanay Invitational on Friday at Byron Hills Golf Course in Port Byron.

 

Chargers sophomores Cody Reiber and Nick Gustafson each shot a 1-under-par 70, with Reiber winning a playoff to take medalist honors. Sandburg shot 307 as a team to tie Augustan College’s “B” team for eighth place in the 16-team competition.

The Carl Sandburg College women's golf team opened its season at the Illinois College Invite at the Links of Jacksonville on Saturday. The Chargers didn't participate in Sunday's second round because of poor playing conditions.

DIXON—Nick Gustafson shot a 6-under-par 69 to take medalist honors at the Arrowhead Conference Preview on Friday at Dixon Country Club.
