GALESBURG—Freshmen Zach Zwenger and Jon Kupfert each tossed complete games as the Carl Sandburg College baseball team swept a nonconference doubleheader against Spoon River on Wednesday at the William “Bill” Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.

GALESBURG—The Carl Sandburg College Literacy Coalition is seeking volunteer tutors. Basic volunteer training sessions will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. April 7, 14 and 21 in Room 103 of George Davis Hall on the campus of Knox College.

MONMOUTH—The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team opened its spring season with a fifth-place finish at the Fighting Scots Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Gibson Woods Golf Course.
