GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College’s TRIO Student Support Services program on Wednesday learned that it will receive $1.1 million over the next five years to serve students through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball and women’s cross country teams each have been named NJCAA All-Academic Teams for their outstanding performances in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year.

 

Teams had to have at least a 3.0 overall grade point average in order to qualify for the award. A total of 591 NJCAA teams qualified for All-Academic recognition out of 3,461 teams in 28 different sports.

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College has released the names of students who qualified for the dean’s list and honors list for the 2015 spring semester.
 

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have been enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). To qualify for the honors list, a student must have been enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49.

GALESBURG — Ryan Rutledge of Knoxville High School has been awarded the first John and Louella Thurman Memorial Scholarship from the Carl Sandburg College Foundation.
