OGLESBY — The Carl Sandburg College baseball team rallied from a five-run deficit in Game 1 and added a blowout victory in Game 2 to sweep Illinois Valley 9-7 and 11-2 on Tuesday.

GALESBURG — Zoe Wetherell (Washington, Ill./Washington) and Jordan Guedet (Washington, Ill./Washington) have signed to play for the Carl Sandburg College softball team next season. Wetherell also will play volleyball for the Chargers.

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team’s Arrowhead Conference meet hosted by Illinois Valley that was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at Illinois Valley has been postponed to 1:30 p.m. April 28 at Senica’s Oak Ridge.

STERLING — The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team had every player break 80 and shot a season-best 302 but finished third in an Arrowhead Conference meet hosted by Sauk Valley on Friday at Emerald Hill.

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College honored the 2015 recipients of its Distinguished Alumnus Award and Outstanding Young Alumnus Award at the Alumni Awards Reception on Wednesday evening in the Student Center on the College’s Main Campus in Galesburg.
