MARION, Iowa — The Carl Sandburg College women’s golf team opened its season at the Mount Mercy Invite Friday and Saturday at Hunters Ridge Golf Course.

 

Sophomore Skylar Houzenga (Erie, Ill./Erie) shot 105 and 100 in the two rounds to finish 29th overall, and sophomore Danielle Kenney (Toulon, Ill./Stark County) posted rounds of 112 and 104 to finished 33rd.

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team fell 6-1 at Marshalltown (Iowa) on Sunday afternoon in the Chargers’ first road contest of the season.

GALESBURG—After teaming up in high school, Martel Hunter and Trayvon Smith now will do the same at Carl Sandburg College. The former Monmouth-Roseville High School standouts have signed to suit up for the Chargers men’s basketball team this season.
