Effective July 1, 2011, the Department of Education requires schools with Gainful Employment programs to disclose certain information about them. Information reported below is for the period between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012
Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. Monitor patient safety and comfort, and view images of area being scanned to ensure quality of pictures, May administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously. May interview patient, explain MRI procedures, and position patient on examining table. May enter into the computer data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry.
This program prepares students for the following occupations: MRI Technologist, Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. Details are available on the US Department of Labor’s website via the Standard Occupational classification (SOC) code links.
Cardiovascular Technologists and Technicians, Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Radiologic Technologists.
